Programmed to be interrupted: If there is any form of culture feedback that is not as low-level as survival of the fittest, then there is probably something to be said about "interrupts". In a time-based media like video the controls are more explicit, however the way we sort of structure our logical Paragraphs is an attempt as well to create small adrenaline rush, where we make sure (well try) that the next logical Paragraph has both sufficient surprise yet relevance to distract and refocus right away. This is sort of the counter intuition of a presentation technique that would say first say what you will talk about then say it.
